As the world grew in chaos over the newly formed foundation, A much worse monster arose. Marcus had already known how to protect himself from the newly formed beast, as he was the only person who had seen it up close and lived. He put on his gas mask and grabbed his rifle. He mounted his horse and rode off into the darkness. As he roamed the forest, he started to hear its death rattling whimper. He knew he was close. He knew the beast was near, but his lanterns shine was too small to find it. It was on his left, then his right. He had been afraid of the ocean as a kid, his mom warned him about stingrays. His dad said shuffling your feet would alert the string rays and they would just swim off. This type of string ray didn't swim away.
