dogs in books are common things but 90% of the time they die
why is this?
anyway i have done some research and found authors make main characters or friends of the main character die.
authors do this to add filler and emotion to the book
for example Old Yeller, he was ended in the book to add more book stuff and emotion to the book and it seemed to have worked as it is a very popular book and uhh many authors are copying this trend because it adds emotion and people love a book that makes alot of emotion (Old yeller, Sounder, Stone fox, marley and me, odyssey and many others)
