IDM is short for "Intelligent Dance Music." It's a strange term that a lot of people aren't the biggest fans of but there's really no way to describe this music. Personally, it's one of my favorite genres.

IDM was popularized in the early 2000s.

This is Alberto Balsalm by Aphex Twin, one of the primary engineers of the genre. Album cover is scary, yes.

This is Warsaw by PilotRedSun, which is the most recent out of the artists here. PilotRedSun's music falls in the same genre but there's some differences- I'm not Fantano but generally his music feels more like a videogame's soundtrack.

This is Assault on Precinct Zero by Plaid. It's the most relaxing out of the three, I think, but I suppose I'd place it between PRS and Aphex Twin on "videogameyness."
